DALLAS, OCTOBER 19, 2010: DALLAS FILM SOCIETY AFTER DARK and the AT&T Performing Arts Center are partnering once again to thrill the Dallas public with a spooktacular FREE Halloween double feature on October 30 at the Annette Strauss Square, part of the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
Hot on the heels of the inaugural screening of CASABLANCA on October 16, the Strauss Square will once again be the hottest ticket in town for outdoor screenings. This double feature is a one-off special event so hop on your broomsticks and join us at 7:00PM for the first boo-vie, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN followed by POLTERGEIST at 9:00PM.
“The response we have seen for our first outdoor screening has been incredible,” says Doug Curtis, interim CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center. “So it was only natural that we partnered with the DALLAS Film Society again to bring double the fun for Halloween. I am especially excited about YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN as this will give our audience a taste of what is to come in January, as the Lexus Broadway Series is featuring the live theatrical version of this classic at the Winspear Opera House from January 4 through 23, 2011.”
Michael Cain, Chairman of the DALLAS Film Society, adds: “The incredible Annette Strauss Square is the perfect complement to our existing screening venues in the Arts District, such as the Nasher Sculpture Garden, the Crow Collection of Asian Art and the DMA. We have spent the last five years in anticipation of hosting movie screenings in this unparalleled outdoor venue and are thrilled that our annual Halloween outdoor screening series has found a permanent home”
103.7 Lite FM will also be partnering with DALLAS Film Society and the AT&T Performing Arts Center playing games and sharing Lite FM treats to help make this a clawsome evening!
