From its inception, the DALLAS International Film Festival has collaborated and partnered with other film, arts, cultural and community organizations in the area. The DALLAS International Film Festival aligns itself as Community Partners with a number of these organizations to create a series of co-hosted screenings. The Festival works with these groups to select programming that appeals specifically to their constituencies. The Community Partners promote those selected films to their constituents and they co-host the screenings. In return, the Festival provides the organizations with valuable exposure to its audience, including website presence, recognition in printed materials and the opportunity to distribute information to filmmakers and at Festival venues.
The relationship with the other film festivals of North Texas has been particularly important in this process. The DALLAS International Film Festival goal is to promote and celebrate the entire area’s film community, so we have worked to develop relationships of mutual respect and support. We want to create an atmosphere that allows Dallas to become known throughout the worldwide film community as a city of film festivals. In that vein, the Festival has also reached out to film and video professionals in the area, partnering with their associations to spread the word and highlight the accomplishments of filmmakers across the state and region.
The DALLAS International Film Festival, with help from our Community Partners, is also giving access to the Festival to people and families who might not otherwise be able to attend. Through working with our Community Partners, hospitals, churches and other community service agencies have received over 10,000 complimentary vouchers to distribute to their constituencies.

Community, cultural and arts groups across the region have welcomed and encouraged the DALLAS International Film Festival since our inception and continue to support us in our efforts going forward. For this, we thank them for their support and for allowing us, in turn, to support their good works in building a stronger, better community.
